We are just a couple of developers living in the Northwest that were trying to "go green", and to be quite honest, save some money on utility bills. After trading a few tips, we realized that there wasn't really a site that we could go to trade tips/recommendations and keep track of our improvements over time. We realized that just keeping track of bills wasn't going to work, because as prices continue to go up, the only thing we can control is our resource usage, and there wasn't an easy way to keep track of that across all the utilities/resources that we use... That was when TrackMyConsumption was born.
Our "philosophy" is that the environment and your budget don't need to be at odds, and in fact they go hand in hand. "Going Green" makes a lot of sense from a budgetary standpoint. Save the environment, by reducing your footprint. We hope that by providing our community with the tools and information they need, everyone can have their cake and eat it to.
